Villatel Orlando Resort: What Makes Florida’s First ‘Villa Hotel’ Special
Overview
So firstly, what do we mean by a ‘villa hotel’? Well, these luxury villas are set on a 77-acre site, but come with hotel-style facilities. So, guests get the best of both worlds – a villa with a fully-equipped kitchen and living space, along with the amenities they would expect from a hotel, like a waterpark, bar, sports courts and a gym – all coming for 2025. Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better. The resort’s on International Drive, less than 10 minutes’ drive from the theme parks – so day trips to Disney and Universal are super doable. Plus, it’s within easy reach of I-Drive’s restaurants, shops and attractions.
The Villa Options
Guests can choose between a range of villas, from two to nine bedrooms, meaning there’s plenty of room to bring the whole family, including space for up to 18 guests in the larger properties. Plus, select homes promise themed rooms for little ones or big kids, as well as cinema and games rooms. Each and every home has its own pool as standard, yet all provide a living space and kitchen area with all the mod-cons, so guests can prepare breakfast and dinner at home, or pack up lunches when they are on-the-go. Laundry facilities and free Wi-Fi are some of the other amenities that every guest can expect, along with spacious master bedrooms and en suite bathrooms.
What’s New for 2025?
The resort isn’t quite finished yet. Lots of the villas are open, but they’re still working on the communal facilities - which will be worth the wait. In 2025, the resort will add a waterpark, lazy river, pool, poolside bar-cum-grill, sports courts and a gym to the facilities list. There will also be a clubhouse and a children’s playground.
Something Out of the Ordinary
If clients are looking for that something extra, Villatel Orlando Resort can easily deliver. Lots of the villas feature extravagantly themed kids’ rooms – like the wildlife-inspired Jill’s Jungle Villa and Medieval-style Carter’s Castle. The five-bedroom Villa Fantastique includes a themed kids’ room with a slide, while The Stunning villa stars a water-view pool and hot tub, along with a whole room dedicated to gaming. In fact, plenty of the villas come with their own cinema or arcade rooms for added entertainment. And, if that wasn’t enough, there are certain VIP perks that come with a stay here. The resort runs a free shuttle service to and from Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, so guests can avoid any extra car parking or taxi costs. Plus, Florida’s biggest indoor attraction, Dezerland Park Orlando, is just down the road. There’s a lot packed into this place, from go-karting and trampolines to laser tag and mini golf.
And, if guests are ever in need of any help while you’re away, there’s a dedicated concierge service from 8.30am-8.30pm.
Other Important Things to Know
Resort fees
As you’d expect from a resort of this calibre, there will be a daily resort fee that’s payable on arrival at the resort for 2025 stays. It applies per day, per home – but only for those arriving after January 2025. In this case, guests will need to leave a credit card on file when they check in. This will grant access to the resort’s waterpark, sports courts, grill and gym. Plus, it also includes the concierge service, linen and towels, and the toiletries and pantry items that all the homes are stocked with when they arrive. The resort fees are:
$20 for 2-bed condo
$30 for 3-bed condo
$30 for townhomes
$40 for homes
These rates are all per day and are subject to a 12.5% tax.
Ongoing Construction for 2024
It’s worth remembering that there are still some facilities under construction at Villatel Orlando Resort. Facilities like the waterpark, sports courts and bar & grill won’t be open until late 2024, ready for the 2025 season. Reunion Resort
Located a stone’s throw from Disney World, Reunion Resort offers an array of themed roomed villas. From Disney classics to retro games and cult hits, clients can take their pick of our finely selected rooms.Ocean 736
Guests would be forgiven for believing they had been transported to a Marvel movie here. The low-lit, dark-painted room contrasts with the pops of fluorescent installations. A luminous Hulk flexes his muscles as he tries to break free from captivity, while a mural of Ironman rushes to protect someone from harm.
This room is sure to spark some imaginative superhero role-play. And once the kids tire of saving the world, they can sit back on and turn on the flat-screen telly. Even superheroes deserve a break once in a while.
Ocean 678
If clients fancy a bit of nature, they can bring the outdoors indoors in this rustic bedroom. Decked in forested wallpaper and an artificial grass floor, they can almost smell the fresh mountain air.A little log cabin on stilts disguises itself as a twin bunk. And yes, your eyes aren’t deceiving you; that is a tree framing the log house with its foliage. Albeit a fake tree, its lifelike appearance is enough to feel lost in the woods.
With fairy lights adorned on the leaves, any kids will beg for lights out for the dreamy ambience. The wooden furnishings add the finishing touches to this wilderness camp.
Ocean 763
Whimsical, enchanting, and captivating beyond words. Inspired by the Disney hit Encanto, this room replicates the floral infusion chamber of Maribel’s sister, Isabella. If clients want to watch their kids’ jaws hit the floor, this is the painted pastel room for them. The magical Casa Madrigal is actually a twin bunk! You have to see it to believe it. The double-story, ice-cream-coloured mansion has stone-like steps leading up to the top bunk. Decked in beautiful bunches of bright flowers, the house is a work of art.
Wait, there is more... a swing is another quirky feature of this room, letting children get a full view of their delightful and abundant floral kingdom.
Ocean 710
Here, guests can enter the fantastical planet of Avatar. Consistent reminders that they haven’t left the realm of this orbit are, in fact, necessary. Especially, as the mural of pointed pinnacles peaking above the foggy realm is so convincingThe low green lighting also adds a wild, remote element, highlighting the rough timbered artwork that shields the bunks. Once in bed, blue lighting shines in the cove, feeling like you’re sleeping out in the open under the stars.
Ocean 701
Sleeping under the stars is great, but what if clients could stay amongst them? This galactic space-themed room is fit for a Jedi. And what’s a bit of saving the galaxy without a bit of fun? An enclosed spiral slide runs from the top bunk, ensuring they can report to the rebellion in no time. The top bunks replicate space capsules, doused in silver paint for a steely aesthetic. With enough Star Wars imagery to inspire mass recruitment, the room also features a flat-screen TV and R2D2 bean bag furnishings.
Ocean 758
A trip on the Hogwarts Express is a rite of passage for Florida theme park holidays. But at this villa, guests don't even have to leave the house. Dumbledore has delivered and transformed the double bunk into the Hogwarts steam engine.Decorated in Gryffindor's burgundy and yellow colours, the room resembles King's Cross' concealed platform. And to avoid any last-minute frenzies, a caged owl sits on the luggage-themed dresser as the accompanying pet at Hogwarts.
Encore Resort
In the heart of Kissimmee, the hub for villas is Encore Resort. Like Reunion Resort, Encore wields an eclectic mix of themed rooms that will amaze both kids and adults alike!Ocean 559
"Do you want to build a snowman?" Unfortunately, Florida is not the prime destination for frosty snow-building activities. But, this icy blue Frozen-themed room will make clients feel they've been planted in the Arctic itself.
The room's centrepiece is a regal ice palace fit for a princess from any climate. While most kids fight for the top bunk, the bottom bunk is highly appealing. Entirely closed off with only a pentagonal castle door cut out, the inside room has moody blue lighting convincing guests that blue blood may just run through their veins.
A pearly light blue slide is fixed from the top bunk for a quick exit once client's knight in shining armour arrives. All in all, with frosty murals of milky snow, shiny icicles, and deep blue glaciers, it's not hard to imagine a blizzard approaching subtropical Florida here.
Ocean 444
Whilst all the above villas promise family fun-themed bedrooms, adults can kick back and enjoy the nostalgia of the 70s at Ocean 444's American diner-themed games room. Fitted with shiny vinyl chessboard floors, vintage adverts, and a ruby red colour scheme, clients can travel back in time to this vibrant burger joint.Better yet, they can play a game of ping pong or foosball and between games sip a soda on the Coca-Cola-branded diner stools. The entertainment even extends to the upstairs game room. Here, guests can jump on the gaming console and wrestle with the puck on the air hockey machine.
Solterra Resort
A bit further from Disney World than Reunion and Encore, yet still quite accessible, is Solterra Resort. Set amongst many lakes, Solterra Resort offers some quiet away from Disney’s hustle and bustle.Ocean 778
Guests may need to compromise with the kids on who bags this home's themed bedroom. Here, they can ump into the land of Super Mario of red levelling-up mushrooms, golden blocks, and dotted warp pipes. A 360° twisting slide connects the top bunk to the floor. Warning: guests will need to resist the urge to jump from pillar to post as they enter Mario’s magical adventure land room. This is just a taste of the many themed villas we have in our portfolio. Housekeeping can be reached from the bed via state-of-the-art iPad controls. But it’s the restaurant that steals most of the limelight. Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson is at the helm of this seafood-centred eatery. There’s a raw bar with towers of lobster, crab, oysters, and sashimi. The menu features dishes like pasta with lobster, black cod, Atlantic salmon, and filet mignon.
The hotel’s spa allows clients to get a taste of the Kneipp Hydrotherapy Experience, stimulating their acupressure points with a walk across polished stones before dipping into a wading pool.
Shangri-La Toronto
One for… keen sightseers The Hong Kong-based hotel brand, Shangri-La, has brought its chic take on luxury stays to Toronto, choosing one of the city’s tallest buildings as its home. It’s right in the heart of downtown, so your clients will be minutes from the waterfront shops and cafés.
Inside, Asian-inspired Shangri-La touches are everywhere, from the brand’s signature scent to an impressive lobby bar, where decadent afternoon teas are presented in antique or modern Chinese teapots. The main restaurant, bosk, takes diners on an international journey via their taste buds, with a wine list of 700 bottles – one of the biggest in Toronto. Plus, your clients can work out with a view, thanks to a 9,000-square-foot wellness centre on the fifth floor, complete with a pool and spa.
1 Hotel Toronto
One for… sustainability seekers1 Hotel Toronto’s elevator pitch would go something like, "stylish but sustainable oasis in the heart of downtown." It’s the perfect pick for clients who like their five-star hotels with a conscience. And it’s not just talk. The hotel is LEED Gold certified, with energy-efficient heating and cooling systems and energy-saving room thermostats. Plus, they offer a fully electric Audi Q8 e-tron for sightseeing.
Everything here is inspired by the natural environment. Reclaimed wood features heavily in the rooms – from headboards to showers. The hotel has thought of every last detail, from sustainably sourced bedding to yoga mats and in-room trees.
The same care extends to the wining and dining options. Farm-to-table cuisine is served in a trendy conservatory at 1 Kitchen. Flora Lounge specializes in plant-based meals, while the immersive dining experience pairs Mexican and Mediterranean food with DJs and live performances. On the roof, clients can sunbathe among the skyscrapers by the pool while sipping freshly juiced cocktails.
The Westin Ottawa
One for… business travellers The Westin hotel is centrally located in Ottawa’s downtown business district. But it’s not all work and no play. It’s connected to the Rideau Centre Shopping Mall – the city’s premier upmarket shopping centre. The hotel is also right on the Rideau Canal, allowing clients to easily tick this UNESCO World Heritage Site off their list. Parliament Hill and the National Gallery of Canada are all within a 15-minute walk or less.

The Shore Club serves oysters, black cod, and rainbow trout alongside prime cuts of meat like filet mignon. Plus, every room comes with a special Service Express® button for 24/7 room service. The DOUGLAS, Autograph Collection, Vancouver
One for… foodiesBoutique but on a big scale – that’s how The DOUGLAS in Vancouver can be described. It’s part of Parq Vancouver, a grand hotel and casino complex. But, as a member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, clients can also expect the sophisticated feel and atmosphere of a smaller boutique hotel. The hotel offers some extraordinary rooms – The Den, for instance, features a pool table and a floating staircase.
And did we mention the endless list of facilities? Clients can stroll through pines and flowers on the 30,000-square-foot rooftop park, then head over to D/6 Lounge for panoramic views of downtown Vancouver. The Victor is the go-to spot for seafood or steak, while BC Kitchen serves up pizzas, burgers, and Mexican street food. Honey Salt is the farm-to-table restaurant, where only the best seasonal and local ingredients are used. There’s also a gelateria, a café, and a lounge that transitions from serving teas by day to whiskeys at night.
Fairmont Vancouver
One for… history fansThe Fairmont is a bit of an icon on the Vancouver hotel scene. The Château-style hotel, dubbed the Castle in the City, has been hosting guests since 1939 – even Royals have checked in. But it’s anything but old on the inside, thanks to a $75 million revamp at the end of 2019.
In true grand style, the rooms feature a navy blue and gold colour scheme. The Notch8 restaurant and bar is seriously stylish, with an ultra-modern chandelier, zebra-print bar stools, and brick walls. It’s not just about looks, though. The raw bar serves oysters, mussels, caviar, and crab legs, while the cocktail menu offers a unique experience where drinkers let the dice decide on their cocktail construction. Plus, it wouldn’t be a five-star hotel without a pool, sauna, and fitness centre.
The location is standout, too. It’s just minutes from Vancouver’s main shopping streets – Robson, Alberni, Burrard, and Granville. Historic Gastown is only a few blocks away.
